Gentleman Of Rio en Medio

Question 6
Why doesn't Don Anselmo reveal who "owns" the trees on his first visit to the lawyer's office? Was he being clever, or was he unaware of the potential problem? Explain.

He was unaware of the what he did because it wasn't his property, he was only trying to get his money, and he would let the kids have the rest. Don Anselmo has nothing to do with the tree and he doesn't own it.He was sure that he was right because he loves the kid, he lets the kids play in his garden everyday and he planted trees for each one of them. He is an old man so he would take the money and spare some for the kids.
